Outsourced FSO support and fractional industrial security leadership.
Senior-level Facility Security Officer support for small and mid-sized cleared contractors. Keep your security program compliant, current, and inspection-ready, without the cost of a full-time senior hire.
Your security program can't be a side job.
Many small cleared contractors give FSO duties to someone who already has a full-time role. Reporting slips, training lapses, and records drift until a DCSA review or an incident exposes the gaps.
J Edward Logistics gives you an experienced security professional who knows the NISPOM, knows DCSA's expectations, and stays on top of your program every month.

Common questions
Can an outsourced consultant serve as our FSO?
Yes. Many small cleared contractors use an outside professional to perform FSO duties. Your company still formally appoints the FSO, and your Senior Management Official keeps overall accountability for the security program under 32 CFR Part 117. We set up the engagement so authority, responsibilities, and access are clearly defined.
Do you also support companies that already have an in-house FSO?
Absolutely. We often work as an Assistant FSO or senior advisor to a part-time or newer FSO. We handle overflow, mentor staff, prepare for DCSA reviews, and cover absences.
Is the work remote or on-site?
Most program management is remote-first, which keeps costs predictable. On-site visits for self-inspections, training, or reviews are available and scheduled as needed. Travel is billed separately under agreed terms.
What happens if we need more hours than our retainer includes?
Additional hours are billed at the standard consulting rate with your approval in advance. If you regularly need more, we'll suggest moving to a tier that fits. Unused hours do not roll over.
How fast can you respond in an emergency?
Retainer clients get priority scheduling. Emergency requests from all clients are handled as fast as availability allows and billed at a premium rate. Call us directly for anything time-sensitive.
Can you guarantee a satisfactory DCSA rating?
No honest provider can guarantee a Government assessment outcome. What we can promise is a program built and maintained to the standard DCSA expects, with documented records, trained personnel, and a leadership team that knows where things stand.
